Health Careers Summer Camp

July 21 - 27, 2013

The Health Careers Summer Camp is a week-long enrichment opportunity to give students an in-depth learning experience with different health careers and to show them the career opportunities available in health professions. The camp is for all rising high school juniors and seniors who want to pursue a career in healthcare. Attendees will mix and network with other future health care colleagues from across the Region. The camp is a great opportunity for you to gain more knowledge of the health career area you might want to pursue, meet new people and get a taste of college while living on campus in the residence hall.  Sessions and hands-on lab experiences will be conducted by Health Professions professors. Participants will work with simulated patients, participate in team projects and engage in fun evening activities.

To apply, students need a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0, and Minimum PSAT/SAT scores: Critical Reading 530, Math 430, with an overall 1000 or ACT scores: English 24, Math 18, with a Composite 21.

Students meeting the admissions criteria and considered economically and environmentally disadvantaged, including those from under-represented racial and ethnic groups are strongly encouraged to apply.

Please note the application deadline has been changed: Apply on-line with the Health Careers Summer Camp Application Form by March 29, 2013. There will be no paper applications available. A nonrefundable $150 fee will be assessed upon your acceptance to the camp.
