COHP at Light the Night
College of Health Professions is leader of the pack in "Light the Night" fundraiser Share!
Light the Night is an annual fund-raiser of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Armstrong Atlantic State University has participated in Light the Night for the past five years led by Michelle Butina, an Assistant Professor in the Medical Technology Department. On October 2, 2009 over 150 AASU students, faculty and staff walked the streets of downtown Savannah raising awareness of the fight against blood cancers by carrying lit balloons. To date, AASU has raised $14,429 and of this total $10,315 was raised by the College of Health Professions. This is the fifth year the College of Health Professions has led the fund-raising efforts to find a cure against blood cancers!
