Advisement & Registration

All Adolescent and Adult Education & Community Leadership education teacher preparation programs require coursework, an assessment portfolio and evidence of knowledge and skills. Variations in programs are dependent upon whether the program leads to a teaching certificate, a master's degree with a teaching certificate, or advanced knowledge and skills.

Please note the following important information regarding advisement:

• Advisement, registration and financial aid dates are posted on the Admissions website for each academic semester.
• Schedule an advisement session as soon as possible after you have been admitted to AASU.
• Faculty office hours are available through the departmental secretary at 912.344.2562.
• Your program advisor will assist you in designing your program of study as well as keeping you current in matriculation, graduation, and certification procedures.

Students admitted into the Adult Education and Community Leadership Program will meet with the Program Director or assigned advisor to discuss their program of study and register for classes in the initial semester when beginning the program.
