College of Education
Attention Spring 2014 Undergraduate
College of Education Candidates
The Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) and Educational Testing Services (ETS) notified the Armstrong College of Education yesterday that the GACE Program Assessment scores that were due back November 1, 2013, will not be distributed until November 29, 2013. As a final quality control step, ETS and GaPSC have decided to conduct additional standard-setting activities for the GACE Program Admission Assessment (formerly Basic Skills Assessment) before finalizing the raw cut scores.
This change affects those applying for spring 2014. As a result, we will allow those that have applied for spring 2014 and that did not pass the GACE Program Assessment to re-take the exam during the testing window of 11/30/13-12/21/13. The scores from that exam will come back on December 27 2013, when the university is closed for Winter Break. When we return to the office in January, we will review the scores to admit those students who have met all admission criteria and whose scores are passing. Students will not be able to take classes in the major until they have been officially admitted to the college and passing the GACE Program Admission Assessments is one of the requirements.
