Overview

The Certificate in Adult Education and Community Leadership leads to a State of Georgia Board of Regents certificate in Adult Education.

Required courses

The program of study consists of four required courses totaling 12 semester hours.  Individuals, with the approval of their advisor, will select four of the following courses:

• ADED 7130 - Cultural Diversity in Adult Education
• ADED 7160 - Community Development & Personal Leadership
• ADED 7170 - Research & Grant Writing in Adult Learning
• HRVD 7400 - Human Resource Development Theory & Practice
• HRVD 7410 - Organizational Theory & Practice
• HRVD 7420 - Management & Leadership Behavior
• ADED 7200 - Theory of Adult Literacy
• ADED 7210 - Communication Skills in Low Literacy Adults
• ADED 7220 - Literate Communities
• ADED 7300 - Instructional Technology Theory & Practice
• ADED 7310 - Online Learning Environment
• ADED 7320 - Multimedia Design
• ADED 7500 - Workplace Application
