
Georgia Government Exam
Armstrong Atlantic State University requires the Georgia Government Examination of students who seek to satisfy the degree requirement for U.S. and Georgia Government.
- by transferring credit from a school outside the University System of Georgia or
- by earning an acceptable score on either CLEP-American Government or AP-Government & Politics: U.S.
Passing the Georgia Government Examination alone is not sufficient to meet the degree requirements.
The Test
The Georgia Government Examination is a 20-item multiple choice test on the Constitution and politics of Georgia. The minimum passing score is 14 (70% of 20 items).
Test Fee
There is a test fee of $15 due for the administration of the exam.
Test Dates
The GA Government Exam is administered by appointment. Contact the Office of Testing Services at test.aasu@armstrong.edu to schedule a test time. Scheduling is based on available space and should be done at least a week in advance.
Score Reporting
Approximately one week after the test, a report of your score will be mailed to you and to the Registrar of Armstrong Atlantic State University.
Retaking the Test
You may retake the Georgia Government Examination only once in any semester.
What to Study
Copies of Georgia State Politics: The Constitutional Foundation, Third Ed., by Allen and Saeger, are on reserve in the Lane Library and can be purchased at the Armstrong Bookstore.
