Credit-by-Examination CLEP
CLEP is a program which allows students to take tests in any given subject with the intention of testing out of certain classes through examination.

Independent Study
Allows students to complete some of their credit requirements by studying independently and being assessed remotely. Study opportunities are free of time and place constraints that are typical of most other forms of instruction.

DSST
The DSST Program (formerly known as DANTES Program) is a credit-by-examination testing program provided by Prometric Inc.

Georgia Government Exam
Armstrong Atlantic State University requires the Georgia Government Exam for students who seek to satisfy the degree requirement for U.S. and Georgia government.

Health Occupations Basic Entrance Test (HOBET)
The Health Occupations Basic Entrance Test (HOBET) provides an objective measure of critical reading ability and basic mathematics skills necessary to succeed in the radiologic sciences program.

Major Field Test (MFT)
The MFT is an objective test designed to assess the mastery of concepts, principles and knowledge expected of students at the conclusion of a major in specific subject areas.

Measure of Academic Proficiency and Progress (MAPP)
The MAPP is a test of academic knowledge and skills acquired through undergraduate general education courses. The test is a graduation requirement and is used to assess university goals described in the AASU catalog as general education outcomes.

Nurse Entrance Test (NET)
The Nurse Entrance Test (NET) provides an objective measure of critical reading ability and basic mathematics skills necessary to succeed in the nursing program and in nursing careers.

Regents' Test
State-mandated test required for all students who are pursuing a bachelor's degree through a University System of Georgia institution.

SAT On-Campus (SAT)
The SAT On-Campus is administered each academic term. The test is for students seeking admission to Armstrong Atlantic State University only.

Professional Certification Test
The Certified Health Education Specialist Examination which is required for completion of a specified program area.
