Testing Services Main Menu
The CLEP exam fee will be $80. The fee for optional essays is $10. English Composition and Freshman College Composition will be replaced by College Composition Modular and English Composition with Essay will be replaced by College Composition.
Any individual wishing to receive credit for a college-level class may take any CLEP exam at Armstrong State University. Pre-registration for CLEP exams is required prior to scheduling a testing appointment. This is done by creating a student account at https:clepportal.collegeboard.org/myaccount or for additional information review the CLEP brochure on the Armstrong's Testing Services webpage at CLEP Brochure Form. There is a $25 non-refundable proctoring fee (Payable to Armstrong) for each test and a CLEP test fee of $80 per test. For Armstrong students who take the CLEP exam for College Composition Modular or Analyzing & Interpreting Literature an additional essay ($10 payable to Armstrong) is required for credit to be received.

(a) Grade of C or better in 2001 language course is required before credit is given.
(b) Grade of C or better in 3000-level language course is required before credit is awarded.
