The Student Employment Center (SEC) is your resource for student employment opportunities. The SEC strives to provide students with the opportunity to gain experience, explore career options, and fund their education. Below are brief descriptions of the types of positions available.
Institutional Work Study Program (IWSP)
IWSP positions are available to all Armstrong students enrolled in 12 semester hours (undergraduate) or 6 semester hours (graduate) during the fall and spring semesters.
College Work Study Program (CWSP)
The Federal College Work Study program (CWSP) provides jobs for students who demonstrate financial need in accordance with federal guidelines. The program provides financial assistance to students while broadening their educational experiences. It also allows students to earn money to help pay for their expenses. Students are paid on a bi-weekly basis for the actual hours worked.

Resident Assistant (RA)
RA positions are responsible for creating and maintaining a living environment conducive to the academic success and physical, social and emotional well-being of the campus residents. The minimum requirements for RA’s are as follows: must be of sophomore standing; lived on campus for at least one full semester; enrolled as a full-time, on-campus Armstrong student; and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
