21: SPARC met to review feedback from the survey posted on its web page on July 21, 2010.
22-23: SPARC met to review and revise the draft document containing the strategic issues, directions, and initiatives. Survey feedback and suggestions from a number of campus constituents were considered during the process.
Dr. Madeline Adler, consultant from Penson Associates, Inc., facilitated the meeting and helped the group determine appropriate action items for the initiatives. SPARC will continue to meet to develop the action items.

9: Co-chairs, Joyce Bergin and Bill Kelso, met with President Bleicken and senators from the AASU Faculty Senate. Bergin and Kelso made a presentation describing SPARC’s work to date.
6: Co-chairs, Joyce Bergin and Bill Kelso, met with Jose da Cruz to “wordsmith” the draft of the issues, directions , and initiatives. Final draft was made ready to distribute to the campus community for feedback.

7: SPARC’s co-chairs, Joyce Bergin and Bill Kelso, made a brief presentation about SPARC’s work to Armstrong’s Foundation Board of Trustees at their regularly scheduled meeting.
29: SPARC members met to continue work on the strategic issues, directions, and initiatives. Six strategic issues have been identified by SPARC.

18-20: A subcommittee of SPARC membership that included co-chairs, Joyce Bergin and Bill Kelso along with George Shields, Jose de Cruz, and Brenda Forbis met to “wordsmith” the work completed by SPARC on April 14-15. Anne Thompson was invited but could not attend this meetings. In mid-June, the work of this subcommittee will be brought to the total membership of SPARC for review.
21: SPARC’s co-chairs, Joyce Bergin and Bill Kelso, attended a presentation by Crane MetaMarketing, Ltd. that outlined a plan for branding the university. The co-chairs noted the common themes running through the Crane plan and the work being done by SPARC.
