History of SPARC
SPARC has evolved in two phases. Appointed in February 2010 by President Linda Bleicken, SPARC I members worked diligently to gain input and feedback from stakeholders from across campus and the community to develop a strategic plan. They presented the strategic plan draft to Dr. Bleicken in December 2010: Charting Excellence Together: Armstrong’s Strategic Plan.
SPARC II, appointed by the president in February 2011, is responsible for tracking progress of the plan’s implementation. Some members of SPARC I continue as members of SPARC II for the sake of continuity. Additional members have been added to ensure that fresh thinking and a broad perspective are present as we move forward.
A summary of all the steps and hard work that went into the development of this plan are detailed in the timeline.
