The Strategic Planning and Resource Council is pleased to announce the 2012-2013 cycle of the SPARC grant funding process.
A new round of submission opportunities is now available. The application is available here (pdf), with a deadline of 5:00pm on Friday, October 19th, 2012.

The following programs were awarded grants in Round II - Fall 2011 and will continue to receive funding for 2012-13:
S.E.R.V.E.S.: Support, Encouragement, and Resources Vital for Educational Success
Implementing a comprehensive advisement program for students in the College of Education
Armstrong LGBTQ Diversity Initiative
Emphasizing the core value of respecting diversity, the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Diversity Initiative raises awareness of the concerns facing the LGBTQ community. Programs include Safe Space training program and LGBTQ film series
Enhancing Education for Teens Through Literacy
Providing opportunities for Armstrong students to mentor elementary school students in reading and learning
Initiative for Civic Engagement
Developing a “Speakers Bureau,” which provides opportunities for alumni and members of the local and global communities to interact with students, faculty, and staff though various curricular and co-curricular speaking venues
