Welcome to the Vista Electronic Classroom

Vista Electronic Classroom is the course management system (CMS) used for online learning by University System of Georgia institutions. Using Vista, students can interact with instructors and other students through discussions, e-mail and live (real-time) chat rooms. Lecture notes, assignments, projects and grades are often posted on web pages within Pirates’ VIEW Vista. In addition, exams can be taken online and graded automatically.

Online learning generally allows students more flexibility to choose when and where they will participate in class activities, but at the same time, students have the same kinds of deadlines and structured responsibilities as a face-to-face class. In other words, flexibility must be balanced by responsibility. Like a face-to-face course, online courses require assignments to be completed by due dates, attendance (via your online participation), involvement in online discussions, and sometimes group collaboration.
