Student Insurance

The University System of Georgia is currently in the process of changing insurance providers. Information on the new provider will be available on or before August 9. We apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience.

Students at Armstrong have the opportunity to sign up for health insurance during either the fall semester or the spring and summer semesters.
All Institutions of The University System of Georgia are required to participate in the Student Health Insurance Program (USG SHIP).
There are three types of insurance that Armstrong students can register for:
  • Voluntary Insurance
  • Mandatory Insurance
  • Graduate Insurance

The period of enrollment is usually 3-4 weeks after the first day of classes.

Voluntary Insurance

For the Voluntary Plan, all students enrolled for six or more credits per term or participating in Cooperative Education Programs are eligible to enroll in the insurance plan. Students covered under a Mandatory Plan have a separate brochure.
