Armstrong online and blended programs are in alignment with federal regulations provided by the United States (U.S.) Department of Education and Program Integrity Rules. Armstrong programs and courses are in alignment with federal regulations and the credit hour policy. Armstrong adheres to the Carnegie unit for contact time, which is 750 minutes for each credit awarded, and at least two hours of out of class student work as defined by the U.S. Department of Education and by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Contact time expectations for both classroom (instructional and classroom work equivalency) and out of class student work (assignments, readings, etc.) are the same across all course formats including campus/on-site, hybrid, partially online, and fully online.
Armstrong Atlantic State University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate’s, baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral degrees.
