As a Chatham County State Court Judge, Ronald E. Ginsburg upheld the law faithfully for 16 years, retiring in May of 2011. This accomplished judge attended Armstrong as an undergraduate before completing a B.A. and J.D. from the University of Georgia and serving in the Georgia House of Representatives, where he earned a reputation as an ethical legislator. Georgia Governor Zell Miller appointed this former Pirate a Judge of the State Court in 1995. He was re-elected repeatedly, a tribute to his effectiveness and fairness in the courtroom. Ron served as President of the Council of State Court Judges and won the State Bar of Georgia Bench and Bar Professionalism Award, which honors Peach State judges and attorneys who have demonstrated the highest level of professional conduct. He has also been honored with the Arthur M. Gignilliat, Jr. Public Service Award and the AASU Distinguished Alumnus Award.
