Navigate Checklist


This checklist will help  prepare you for college orientation. Please complete the steps before you attend your Navigate session.
 

Join a First-Year Community.

Make the most of your first year experience! First year communities are optional, but they’re fun and beneficial!  Click here to view the different First Year Learning Communities that are available.

Set Up Your SHIP Account.

You will use this account to register for classes, see your grades, and monitor your financial aid. Click this link to set up your SHIP account.
 

Set Up Your Armstrong Email Account.

You’ll need to check your emails on a regular basis to receive important messages about housing, financial aid, and more. Click this link to set up your email account. 
 

Apply for Housing.

Hurry!!  Priority housing is given to those who apply early. Click here to apply for Housing.

Confirm Your Documents.

Remember that the admissions office must receive any outstanding documents before you can start taking classes.

Check Admissions Holds
Check to see if you still need to turn in immunization records.
Check to see if you still need to turn in a final high school transcript.
Check to see if you if your official AP or IB scores have been received.
Check to see if your college transcripts have been received.


Confirm Your Financial Aid Progress.

For step-by-step information to ensure your financial aid will be ready when classes begin, please review the Financial Aid Roadmap.

  • Have you completed your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)?  To do so, please visit www.fafsa.ed.gov.

  • Have you been selected for the verification process?  If so, the documents needed to complete this process are available on our Financial Aid Roadmap webpage.  

  • Hoping for a HOPE Scholarship?  Complete the Georgia Student Finance Application for HOPE at www.gacollege411.


Sign Up For The Regents’ Exam.

You can sign up for the Regents’ exam on your SHIP account by following these steps:
Log onto your SHIP account. Then follow these steps:

  • Select “Student Services and Financial Aid”

  • Select “Academic and Account Information”

  • Select “Sign Up for the Regents’ Test”
