About

The purpose of the Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) is to provide support services to ethnic minority students and assist those students in their participation in the life of the college. OMA provides services in the areas of academic outreach and student development.

The Office of Multicultural Affairs is customer service oriented. Talking with students is not an interruption of work, but the mission of the office. To accomplish this goal, OMA will focus on areas of recruitment, retention and graduation rates of minority students.

The importance of OMA goes far beyond the tangible things that you measure such as retention and graduation rates. OMA symbolizes a safe haven for students and an area on campus that students can readily identify with and call their own. OMA serves as an advocate and supporter of students academically and personally.
