Tutoring
Writing Center
The Writing Center is a place where all students may go for help with their writing. Tutors offer individual instruction in basic writing skills and provide guidance in the preparation of essays, reports and research papers. Professors and tutors work one-on-one with students on all aspects of the writing process: researching information, discovering ideas, drafting, revising and editing. Tutors will not write or proofread papers but will help students learn how to improve their essays. The Writing Center is currently located in Lane Library, Room 224. Please visit there or call for current hours of operation at 912.344.3072.
Math Lab
The Math Lab provides service on a first-come, first-served basis to a large number of students enrolled primarily in Learning Support Math or in College Algebra. The center is located on the second floor of Solms Hall, and you may call for current hours of operation at 912.344.2557.
Mentor Program (PAIR)
PAIR (Positive Academic Initiative Resource), Armstrong's Academic Assistance Mentor Program, provides a vehicle for currently enrolled Learning Support students to engage in a mentorship experience with 62+ students. Please call Barbara Baker at 912.344.2935 for more information.
