Ms. Brenda Meyer

Learning Support Student

In 1996 I retired from the U.S. Air Force with an Associates Degree and additional college credits. Shortly after retirement and relocation to Savannah I returned to the workforce for a short timeframe before making a family decision to become a stay-at-home caregiver. Then in 2004, another pivotal family decision to home-school my son put any personal educational endeavors on the back burner. Now in 2011, after many years out of the educational arena I have returned to school to pursue my Bachelors’ Degree in Healthcare Administration in preparation for a third career.

I am finding the transition from home-to-school with such a long absence challenging, however, at the same time very fulfilling.

Mr. Joe Morgan

62+ Program Student

I worked for 42 years in the Baking Industry. I started my career delivering breads and cakes to grocery stores. I was promoted through 6 layers of management. For the last 17 years, I was General Manger of the Continental Bakeries in Seattle, Washington.

Presently, I am a junior pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in History; and a proud member of the National History Honors Society. I also work at the Writing Center as a tutor. I enjoy swimming and since retirement I have nearly 5,000 miles.
