In 1996 I retired from the U.S. Air Force with an Associates Degree and additional college credits. Shortly after retirement and relocation to Savannah I returned to the workforce for a short timeframe before making a family decision to become a stay-at-home caregiver. Then in 2004, another pivotal family decision to home-school my son put any personal educational endeavors on the back burner. Now in 2011, after many years out of the educational arena, I have returned to school to pursue my Bachelors’ Degree in Healthcare Administration in preparation for a third career.
I am finding the transition from home-to-school with such a long absence challenging, however, at the same time very fulfilling.
