Student Employment

There are programs on campus that provide Undergraduate and Graduate students with student employment opportunities: Federal College Work Study Program, Institutional Work Study Program, and Resident Assistant for Housing. Graduate Students may also seek a Graduate Assistantship.

College Work Study Program (CWSP)

The Federal College Work Study program (CWSP) provides jobs for students who demonstrate financial need in accordance with federal guidelines. The program provides financial assistance to students while broadening their educational experiences. It also allows students to earn money to help pay for their educational expenses. Students are paid on a bi-weekly basis for the actual hours worked.

The number of CWSP positions on campus is dependent on the funding level received by the university. The amount of a CWSP award is posted to the students’ award letter and is based on the student's financial need. All interested students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and must have submitted any other required documents before eligibility can be determined.

The Office of Financial Aid will determine the eligibility of students who apply for a college work study position. Keep in mind that you must be in good academic and financial aid standing, your financial aid file must be complete and your aid must be awarded before eligibility can be determined.

Please visit the College Work Study Program (CWSP) webpage for more information.
