Renewing Your Financial Aid

1. Renew Your FAFSA: In order to receive Federal Financial Aid, such as Pell Grant and Stafford Loans, you must renew your FAFSA each academic year. For your convenience, add renewing your FAFSA to your tax filing process to be sure that you meet Priority Deadlines .To assist you with renewal and completion of your FAFSA, Armstrong offers College Goal Sunday. College Goal Sunday is an event in which you may receive free professional assistance to complete your FAFSA. When the date and time of College Goal Sunday is announced, you will receive e-mail notification through your student e-mail account. 4. Loans: If you are interested in receiving loans, please note that you may apply for a loan at any time. Also, if you are a returning Armstrong student who has applied for a loan before, your base eligibility will automatically be processed for you each year unless you decline the loan on your award letter in your Port of Armstrong account. If you wish to receive more than your base eligibility, you must complete a loan request. For more information, please review How to Apply. HOPE & Zell Miller Scholarship: HOPE & Zell Miller Scholarship eligibility is automatically evaluated each 30, 60, and 90 attempted credit hours, in addition to every spring semester if you are a HOPE Scholarship recipient. If you are not a HOPE Scholarship recipient and you have attempted 30, 60, or 90 credit hours, you may be evaluated for HOPE Scholarship eligibility. To be evaluated, please complete the HOPE Evaluation Request Form and return it to the Office of Financial Aid.
