How do I get an Armstrong email account?

Students:  Your email accounts are automatically created upon acceptance to the University. If you have been accepted use this app to look up your ID. Your initial password is your birthdate information MMDDYY.

Faculty and Staff: Complete the System Access Technology Request form and submit it to the IT Services HelpDesk for processing.

Departmental: Complete the Departmental Email Request (PDF) form and submit it to the IT Services HelpDesk for processing. Note: The approval and signature of the Department Head must be acquired in order to complete the request form.

How do I access Port of Armstrong?

The Port of Armstrong is located at

Students, use your Port/Wifi username and password for Port of Armstrong. Example: ga1935

Faculty/Staff, use your current Novell/Port/Wifi username and password for Port of Armstrong.  Example: armstrge (6 letters of last name plus 2 letters of your first name)

How do I reserve a computer lab or classroom on campus?

A requests to reserve university facilities should contact Reservation & Conference Services at The Armstrong Center at 912.344.2894, or via the R25 WebViewer. Faculty and Staff use your Port user name and password to make the reservation. Use this link to access instructions on making the reserbation though the R25 WebViewer.

My laptop is not working. Who can help?

IT Services maintains Armstrong computer equipment that have Armstrong decals only. Your laptop with power cord should be dropped off at the Helpdesk counter at Armstrong Center, Suite 16 for service. Laptops cannot be serviced without the power cord. When dropping off the computer please be sure to sign the log book for tracking purposes.

How can I access the wireless network when visiting campus?

Guests visiting Armstrong campus will need a guest account to access our secure wireless network - AASU WLAN.  Armstrong employees can request these accounts in advance through the Helpdesk or the guest can stop by the Helpdesk counter  at Armstrong Center, Suite 16 to have an account created to use during your visit to campus.

The guest accounts are typically only available for 24 to 48 hours and then will expire. If one is needed for a longer period of time an Armstrong employee will need to make that request.
