Victor Hall Second Floor Renovation Project

This project will complete the build-out of the portion of the second floor of Victor Hall that was minimally finished during the original renovation in 2003-2004.  To accommodate current and future flex office needs this project will re-purpose space that currently is under- utilized due to the fact that in the original renovation it was finished with public accessible cubical workstations.  The current renovation will provide a mix of programmed offices and teaching/counseling spaces. It will include the move of the Bursar’s office from Burnett Hall to the second floor of Victor Hall as part of the program.

The estimated project cost is approximately $500,000.  It will be funded under an FY13 Major Repair and Renovation (MRR) Project allocation by the Board of Regents and residual funds from FY12 MRR.

The design firm of Hussey, Gay, Bell, and DeYoung (HGBD) was selected to provide A/E services for the project. The design team working in conjunction with a campus committee and facilities staff developed the program and schematic design for the project. The design team has now completed construction documents and the project is currently out for bid. Award of the construction contract will follow receipt of bids and construction will begin immediately thereafter.

The construction work will require the present occupants of the second floor of Victor Hall to be temporarily relocated for the duration of the project’s construction.
The upcoming construction work in Victor Hall is anticipated to begin in May 2013 and will continue through the fall of 2013.
