Announcement: Interim Appointments and New Hire for Business and Finance

I am pleased to announce that Ms. Jacque Stepherson has agreed to serve as Interim Director of Human Resources, effective July 7, 2014.  Jacque joined Armstrong in 2012 as Assistant Director of Human Resources.  Ms. Stepherson’s prior work experiences include Administrative Manager in the Chatham County District Attorney’s office, Human Resources Manager for Lowe’s in Beaufort, South Carolina, Human Resources Supervisor for the Department of Family and Children Services in Savannah, and Human Resource Manager in the Office of the Associate Vice President for Human Resources at Wayne State University.  Jacque received her Bachelor of Public Administration at Wayne State University and Master of Business Administration from Walden University.

I am pleased to announce that Ms. Jessica Weaver will assume the role of Interim Bursar, effective immediately.  Jessica joined Armstrong in 2007 as Student Payment Coordinator, and was promoted to Assistant Bursar in 2009.  She previously worked as the Student Services Representative for the Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary.  Jessica received a Bachelor of Arts in Radio, Television and Film from California State University, Fullerton and is presently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Business Track at Armstrong.

Ms. Jessica Henderson has recently been hired as the Controller for the Foundations.  Jessica joined Armstrong in 2012 as the Assistant Controller in the Office of Business and Finance.  Jessica brings to this role 9 years of accounting experience in higher education.  Prior to coming to Armstrong she served as the Assistant Controller at Union College in Barbourville, Kentucky for 6 years and as an internal auditor at The University of Tennessee in Knoxville for one year.  Jessica received her Bachelor of Business Administration (emphasis in Accounting) degree from Morehead State University and her Master of Business Administration from the University of the Cumberlands.
