New Freshmen
Every semester, all new students must go through an advisement & course selection process to identify appropriate courses and plan a realistic schedule. For first-time students entering in a fall semester, advisement will occur during one of several new student orientation programs called Navigate Armstrong. These Navigate sessions are scheduled throughout the spring and summer months.
New students who are entering directly from high school—or only a year or two after high school graduation—should give serious consideration to joining one of our First-Year Learning Communities during their initial Fall Semester enrollment to ease their transition into college. In these special classes, students will learn time management skills and receive important information about college success.
