LLC 1—Educators in the Making
Students in this LLC will be enrolled in EDUC 2110—Investigating Critical and Contemporary Issues in Education—a 3-credit hour course required of all students majoring in any of the several education majors (fall semester) and EDUC 2120—Exploring Socio-Cultural Perspectives on Diversity in Education Contexts—another 3-credit hour course required of all students majoring in any of the several education majors (spring semester). In addition, these students will—via their shared living space in Windward Commons—participate in additional activities and explorations outside the classroom, all designed to help them begin a solid journey toward their goals of one day teaching students in the K-12 arena.

LLC 2—Healthy Living
Students in this LLC will enroll in Armstrong’s 3-credit-hour Concepts of Fitness class, which meets the core curriculum requirement for physical education. In addition to their work within this class, this Healthy Living LLC will live on the Healthy Living hall of Windward Commons, where they will have the opportunity to strengthen their commitment to developing themselves as well-rounded, fit people. Several outside activities and field trips including kayaking, canoeing, bicycling and other lifetime sport activities will provide them many additional opportunities to be the active young adults they enjoy being.
