Home Schooled Students
Home-schooled applicants with a diploma from a regionally accredited home study program will be given the same consideration for admission as students with a diploma from a public school. Please check the detailed admissions requirements for a detailed list of requirements for Home Schooled students.Home study programs accredited or approved by the following are acceptable:
- Accrediting Commission for Independent Study
- Association of Christian Schools International
- Georgia Association of Christian Schools
- Georgia Private School Accrediting Commission
- Southern Association of Colleges and Schools
- Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools
- New England Association of Schools and Colleges
- North Central Association of Colleges and Schools
- Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities
- Western Association of Schools and Colleges
Home Schooled applicants home-schooled in a non-accredited program or applicants from non-accredited high schools who wish to apply as freshman must submit the following items to be considered for admission to the university:
- Copy of Declaration of Intent to Home School as filed with local Board of Education
- High School Summation Exam taken during the twelfth grade year (Iowa TAP, SAT II, California Achievement Test, Stanford Achievement Test). The GED will not substitute for this standardized test.
- Letter from primary teacher certifying completion of high school and date of high school graduation
