Transfer: Admission Requirements

TRANSFER (30 transferable credit hours or more)

  • Must meet minimum 2.0 Cumulative College GPA (NOTE: Some degree programs require a higher GPA requirement, please check out these additional requirements here)
  • You will need to submit all official transcript(s) from any college or university attended. 

FRESHMAN TRANSFER (Less than 30 transferable credit hours)

  • Must meet minimum 2.0 Cumulative College GPA (NOTE: Some degree programs require a higher GPA requirement, please check out these additional requirements here)
  • If under the age of 23: Must meet minimum freshman admission requirements including: SAT or ACT scores, 2.5 high school GPA, and core preparatory courses.
  • If over the age of 23: Must submit official high school transcript or GED score report for proof of high school graduation.

NONTRADITIONAL ADULTS (23 years or older)

  • COMPASS placement exam required if student has never enrolled in  the equivalent of English 1101 or Math 1111/1001).
  • Must meet the following minimum scores on the COMPASS test in order to be admitted. Please note that students will be denied if they place into more than two Learning Support Classes.

    English (Writing) 32-70 71+
    Reading 62-77 78+
    Math (Algebra) 20-39 40+
  • Students will be allowed to take the test two times for free. Any further attempts will be a $20 fee. Scores are only valid for three years from testing date. 

NOTE: Transfer applicants are considered for admission based on academic eligibility to return to the last college or university attended according to the official transcript. Any transfer applicant who is not academically eligible to return to the last academic institution attended will be denied admission to the university.
