Dual-Enrolled Move On When Ready: Admission Requirements


Cumulative High School Core GPA
  • Minimum 3.0 (Grade Point Average)
    or a numerical average of 80 or higher in academic subjects
SAT Minimum Scores
  • Combined Score 1200 (Critical Reading and Math only)
  • Critical Reading 600
  • Math 600
ACT Minimum Scores
  • Composite 26
  • English 26
  • Math 26

Additional Requirements

GA Residency
  • Be a legal resident of the state of Georgia as defined by the University System of Georgia
High School Enrolled and Certified
  • Be enrolled in a Georgia public high school and certified as eligible by their high school guidance counselor or principal
High School Continuity
  • Attend the same high school for one year previous to admission
    The inclusion in two FTE counts.

  • On track to complete the University System of Georgia's Required High School Curriculum requirements

  • Be prepared to take a full-time course load (12-13 semester hours)


Mathmatical Considerations

Dual Enrollment students are eligible to enroll in mathematics courses at Armstrong if at least one of the following applies:

  • The student is enrolled at Armstrong as a full time student (12 or more credit hours)
  • The student has completed all four units of college preparatory mathematics at the high school level and enrolls in pre-calculus or above (students are eligible to enroll in pre-calculus with an SAT mathematics score of 550 or higher, ACT math score of 23 or higher).
  • The student enrolls in calculus or above (students are eligible to enroll in calculus with an SAT mathematics score of 600 or higher, ACT math score of 26 or higher).
