Student Scholars Symposium Just Around the Corner
(April 23, 2012) Come support Armstrong’s 18 year-old tradition of student involvement in scholarly and creative endeavors. The Student Scholars Symposium will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2012 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Student Union.
The Scholars Symposium provides a venue for the campus and the community to come together to celebrate the accomplishments of our brilliant Pirates and to recognize their outstanding scholarly achievements. There will be 60 oral presentations throughout the day and 52 poster presentations. The 2011-12 Student Research and Scholarship Subcommittee consists of Allison Belzer, assistant professor of history, Deborah Jamieson, assistant professor of art history, Jackie Kim, assistant professor of early childhood education, Denene Lofland, assistant professor of medical laboratory science, Scott Mateer, assistant professor of biology, Ashraf Saad, assistant professor of computer science and information technology and Kristin Stout, Lane Library reference librarian and instructor.
