President Bleicken Hosts Opening Convocation

(August 13, 2009) AASU President Linda Bleicken welcomed new and returning faculty and staff during the Opening Convocation for the 2009-2010 academic year. In her inaugural convocation, Bleicken, who took office on July 1, talked about her initial impressions of AASU and highlighted students, faculty and programs that she learned about during her first days in office.

Other speakers at the convocation included Kevin Hampton, president of the Faculty Senate; Fern Illidge, outgoing chair of the Staff Advisory Council; and Tamer Amer, president of the Student Government Association.
