2012 Presidential Election Forum


(Oct. 12, 2012) Armstrong’s Department of Political Science will host a forum on the presidential election, moderated by Savannah Morning News political reporter Larry Peterson. The forum will take place in the Student Union's Ogeechee Theatre on Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 6:00p.m. and is free and open to the public.

The four panelists will include Armstrong faculty discussing both sides of the pivotal topics and platforms around this November’s election. Panelists include:

• Allison Hatch, assistant professor of sociology, on women’s issues
• Nicholas Mangee, assistant professor of economics, on the economy
• Leigh Rich, associate professor of public health, on health care
• Lara Wessel, assistant professor of political science, on presidential politics

Kathleen Burke, political science instructor, will open the event and introduce the panelists. The on-stage discussion will be followed by a Q&A with the audience.
