Eleven Teacher of the Year Nominees Hail from Armstrong
(January 18, 2012) We are proud to announce the following Armstrong alumni were named 2013 Savannah-Chatham Teacher of the Year nominees:
- Dr. Angela Cuyler-Hunter was one of the five finalists. She is from Spencer Elementary School and graduated from Armstrong in 1998 with a B.S. in Education.
- Dr. Selena Travis, of Bartlett Middle School, graduated in 2004 with a Master of Education.
- Patra Rickman, of Charles Ellis Montessori Academy, graduated in 2006 with a Master of Education.
- Catherine Moore, of Gould Elementary School, graduated in 1995 with a B.S. in Education.
- Aida Avendano, of Marshpoint Elementary School, graduated in 1992 with a B.S. in Education.
- Connie Hinely, of May Howard Elementary School, graduated in 2007 with a Master of Education.
- Angella W. McCoy, of Gadsden Elementary School, graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of General Studies and in 2007 with a Master of Education.
- Tiffany Aliotta, of Jacob G. Smith Elementary School, graduated in 1998 with a B.S. in Education and in 2005 with a Master of Education.
- Melissa Loy, of Largo-Tibet Elementary School, graduated in 1995 with a B.S. in Education and in 2002 with a Master of Education.
- Patricia T. Ryan, of Pulaski Elementary School, graduated in 1990 with a B.S. in Education and in 2001 with a Master of Arts in Education.
- Patrick LaPollo, of Mercer Middle School, graduated with a B.A. in Art in 2003 and a Master of Education in 2007.
