Armstrong to Present We the Kings Live in Concert on April 3
(March 20, 2014) — Melodic emo-pop band We the Kings will be the featured band at Armstrong Atlantic State University’s 2014 Campus Union Board Big Show concert, which will take place at Armstrong’s Fine Arts Center, 11935 Abercorn St., on Thursday, April 3. Doors open at 7 p.m., with opening act Darry Miller and the Veil performing.
We the Kings’s self-titled, debut album, released in 2007, included the platinum single, “Check Yes Juliet.” The band’s second album, Smile Kid, was released in 2009 and included the Top 40 singles “We’ll Be A Dream,” featuring Demi Lovato, and “Heaven Can Wait.” The band’s third album, Sunshine State of Mind was released in 2011 and featured “Say You Like Me,” which won an MTV Music Award for Most Innovative Video of the Year. The band’s fourth and latest album, Somewhere Somehow, was released last December, and was funded through an Indiegogo campaign with the help of their fans.
Originally from Bradenton, Fla., We the Kings features Travis Clark on lead vocals, Hunter Thomsen on Guitar, Charles Trippy on bass, Coley O’Toole on keyboard and Danny Duncan on drums.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday, March 17 and can be purchased online at tickets.armstrong.edu for $10, or at the door for $15.
