Armstrong PD Will Offer Free Classes, Training in July
(July 7, 2011) The Armstrong Atlantic State University Police Department will offer Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D) classes for women 18 years and older. The classes will be offered in Savannah and Hinesville. The 12-hour program will be split into three sessions. The schedule is:
July 16, 23, and 30 from 1 – 5 p.m.
Training will take place in the Armstrong Atlantic State University Police headquarters, at the corner of Arts and Library drives on the Armstrong campus, 11935 Abercorn Street.
July 17, 24, and 31 from 2 – 6 p.m. Training will take place in the Hinesville YMCA, 201 Mary Lou Drive. The class is sponsored by the Hinesville Police Department and the Armstrong Police Department.
Additional free training to be offered by the Armstrong Police Department in July includes the following. All training will take place in the Armstrong PD headquarters on campus.
Fire Extinguisher Training
July 9 -22
Armstrong Police will use advanced laser technology to simulate the discharge of a dry-chemical or CO2 extinguisher for a completely clean, safe and effective training experience. The training takes only minutes. The public is invited to stop by anytime from July 9-22.
