Armstrong Names New Director of Housing and Residence Life


(May 10, 2012) Armstrong Atlantic State University has named Amy Garbacz Snyder as Director of Housing & Residence Life.

As director, Snyder will provide vision, leadership and daily administration for Armstrong’s dynamic residence life system comprised of 1,400 undergraduate and graduate students.

Snyder earned a bachelor’s degree in history and government from Daemen College and a master’s degree in college student personnel from Bowling Green State University. She was most recently associate director for residence life and housing at the State University of New York College at Oswego. Prior to that, she was the director of housing and residence Life at Lynn University. Snyder also assisted in the recovery efforts for Tulane University’s Housing Services during the months following Hurricane Katrina.
