AASU Administrative and Faculty Offices Closed May 4
(May 1, 2010) Armstrong Atlantic State University's (AASU) administrative and faculty offices will be closed on Tuesday, May 4 in accordance with a furlough policy mandated by the University System of Georgia Board of Regents.
AASU’s last day of spring semester classes is Monday, May 3. Final examinations are May 5-11. The university will hold its spring commencement ceremony at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 8 at the Savannah Civic Center.
On May 4, the AASU Police Department will remain open. Services available to students will include the Lane Library from 7:30 a.m. - 11 p.m.; the Student Recreation Center from 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.; and dining services, which will operate at regularly scheduled hours.
All University System of Georgia full-time employees are required to take six days of leave without pay during fiscal year 2010 under the mandatory furlough program. For AASU, those days included October 12, November 25, December 23, January 4, March 19 and May 4.
