About this event: | |
Have you ever considered what you walk, run, drive, ride, or bike over every day? The soil beneath our feet in Savannah-Chatham County, Georgia, holds a wealth of intriguing secrets about our past. Archeologist Rita Elliott will discuss how how archaeology reveals these exciting stories, why they are important, and how we can keep them from being lost forever. Elliott's talk is the first in the Digging Savannah Lecture Series, a grant-funded archeology program that will present events throughout the semester.
