Become a Teacher Information Session
|When:||Tuesday, June 18, 2013|
6 p.m. - 7 p.m.
|Where:||The Armstrong Center, 13040 Abercorn Street|
About this event:
Armstrong Atlantic State University’s College of Education “Become a Teacher” information session can be the first step towards a teaching career for bachelor’s degree holders in all stages of life. The session will highlight Armstrong’s latest College of Education offering, the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) in secondary education, with concentrations in English, history, math and science. The MAT programs in early childhood education and special education will also be discussed.
For individuals with a bachelor’s degree in any major who want to become certified teachers, Armstrong’s College of Education can make that happen through its MAT programs or post-baccalaureate, non-degree teacher certification programs.
The Become a Teacher information session will address the paths to certification, the application process and financial aid. Attendees will be able to ask questions and receive individual attention.
