	About:	Bobby Gonzalez's powerpoint presentation examines the history of the racial/cultural fusion of African Peoples and the indigenous nations of the Western Hemisphere. The relationship between Blacks and Natives has been characterized by cooperation, contention, harmony and violent discord. Though many citizens of African descent have lived among the Cherokee and Seminoles, these tribal entities have sought to remove these "Freedmen" from their tribal rolls. It's not easy to be an Indian; it's harder to be a "Black Indian."
