About this event:

Anticipating the joyous and fast-paced spirit of the coming holiday season, the Winds open the 2012-2013 subscription season with Transformations, a relaxing and richly luxurious musical getaway from the impending stresses of holiday shopping.

Program includes transcriptions one of Bach’s most famous organ masterpieces, Toccata & Fugue in D Minor, Rossini’s William Tell Overture, and a suite of music from Bizet’s sultry opera Carmen.

Enjoy these transcriptions, and allow yourself to be transformed by this wonderful collection of music from some of your other favorite genres, now presented in the bright and bold wind ensemble format.
